WHAT. A. WEEKEND.

This year, we brought our Evergreen Mountain Bike Festival to a new venue, Raging River, with the Grand Opening of our Phase 3 new trails, and we had a TON of fun with everyone back in the I-90 corridor where our Festival began in 2010.

2024 was our biggest MTB Festival in years! We had attendees from across the state of Washington, as well as Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Idaho, California, Oregon, and British Columbia.

We put in an order for sunshine, and sure enough, Mother Nature delivered. It’s been a number of years since we had warm temps and sunshine on both days of the Festival, so the PNW truly made it happen for us this weekend with temps in the high 70’s!

We are incredibly proud and grateful for everyone’s support of our largest fundraising event of the year.

To our presenting sponsor, Outdoor Research, and our supporting sponsors, Evil Bikes, Volition Brewing, The Summit at Snoqualmie, Abit Gear, The Line, High Above & Visit Issaquah, thank you for your generous support and involvement to make this event possible!

To every attendee, thank you for joining in the fun while supporting the trails, and bringing your good energy!

To our Trail Builders and staff, thank you for all your hard work on the trails (and off the trails, too!) in preparation for this big event; especially with the brand new Phase 3 trails which took over 5,000 hours to complete.

To all our incredible volunteers, thank you for your time and dedication to ensuring our event ran smoothly; we couldn’t have done it without you. We had a total of 244 volunteers during the festival weekend!

To all our vendors, thank you for bringing the fun with your demo bikes, games, swag, and so much more.

Here’s a look back at all the fun and festivities!

Event Highlights

For those new to our festival, the Evergreen Mountain Bike Festival has been a cornerstone event for over a decade. It began in 2010 and is the longest-running MTB Festival in Washington.

Together we celebrate our shared love for mountain biking, with riders of all ages and abilities.

MTB Demos and Vendor Expo

We had demos for days! Attendees got to test ride all kinds of bikes from Evil Bicycles, Transition Bikes, Yeti Cycles, Pivot Cycles, Propain Bicycles, REI bikes, Santa Cruz/Juliana from evo’s fleet and more from the Summit at Snoqualmie. The Vendor Expo was bustling with over 40 vendors showcasing gear, demoing products, and giving away all kinds of fun stuff.

Group Rides

So many group rides! This year, we introduced Ride United, our new initiative to create space for riders in the BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, seen & unseen disabilities, and historically marginalized community. We had dozens of different group rides including Ride United, as well as Crank Sisters Group Rides, Trail Builder Group Rides on the Phase 3 new trails, Evergreen Instructor Group Rides, Team Epic Group Rides, Groms Group Ride and more.

Grand Opening of the Phase 3 New Trails

Our Trail Builders and volunteers have been putting in a ton of work on the Phase 3 new trails since 2023. After over 5,000 hours of work on ~7 miles of new trails, we got to debut 5 brand new trails in the Raging River trail system on June 8 and 9. With the addition of these new trails, Raging River now has a total of 32 miles of purpose-built MTB trails.

Clinics

We were skill-building all day with our clinics and workshops! The Maintenance Clinic with Radiant Wrench at Outdoor Research and the SRAM Suspension Clinic 101 demonstrated the important elements of bike care. April Katz’s Breakthrough Workshop and Angi Weston’s Cornering Clinic taught valuable tips and tricks to leveling up as a rider.

Friendly Competitions

The Team Booger Footdown Competition went down both Saturday and Sunday, with silly and suspenseful rivalry between participants in the ring. And then, the Human Skee Ball competition at the Transition tent. These events brought out the competitive spirit in the most entertaining way.

Live Music

DJ Natural Selection kept the vibes high all weekend with the good tunes outside the Registration Tent and Vendor Village. The Salmonberries played Saturday afternoon at the Main Stage, where the sun was shining and the beer was flowing. Volition Brewing was pouring our all new beer release “Hoppin’ Tops!”

And So Much More!2024-06-18-pc-jesse-cunningham_badass_ed-yvonne-kraus-001-001.jpeg

Sunday, we had quite the show at the Loam Lander / Sender Ramps Skill Zone with Sweetlines athletes throwing down big tricks and jumps that stoked the crowd! Throughout the weekend, evo stashed treasures around the mountain with hints on social media for riders to hunt down and score!

We also celebrated our former Executive Director, Yvonne Kraus, as she transitions out of Evergreen, with a custom trail sign for the new Phase 3 trail named in her honor, Executive Decision!

Reflecting on the Evergreen Mountain Bike Festival, I couldn’t be more proud of our team and the MTB community. It was a weekend full of learning, riding, and connecting. Seeing everyone come together here at Raging River was incredibly rewarding and special. Another huge thank you to our sponsors, staff, trail builders, volunteers, and all the attendees for making it such a successful fundraiser for our trails and memorable weekend as whole.

See you on the trails!
