Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance is pleased to announce the addition of a new chapter—Evergreen Cowlitz-Naches!
Spearheaded by a passionate group headed by chapter President Tyler Forman, Evergreen Cowlitz-Naches focuses on a swath of gorgeous mountain biking potential in the Hwy 12 (White Pass) corridor from Randle to Naches, and the east side of Hwy 410 (Chinook Pass), to Yakima to the east.
“Our chapter joining Evergreen is really exciting,” says Forman “when a small group of us started talking about the idea last year we didn’t expect things to happen so fast—but the timing was right and things fell right into place. Now our community is ready to make it happen.”
Already Cowlitz-Naches has completed a work party on Mt. Osborne, and has started working to build strong, positive partnerships with the US Forest service in the Cowlitz and Naches Valleys and the WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife at Oak Creek.
While helping WDFW with some regional trail inventory, Cowltz-Naches is also in the process of compiling a list of trails on USFS land to help maintain for the area’s riders.
