Outdoor enthusiasts come in many forms, but we all share a common desire to protect access to recreation in natural spaces.
That’s why Evergreen, the Outdoor Alliance, and many others are supporting the effort to formally designate the Mountains to Sound Greenway as a National Heritage Area. This effort would work to conserve and enhance the natural, historical, and cultural legacies of the area, while preserving recreational access.
The Mountains to Sound Greenway is an outdoor paradise that connects the Seattle waterfront to the Cascades. It includes 1,600 miles of trails, the stunning Cascade Crest, excellent whitewater runs, backcountry skiing and snowshoeing, rock climbing routes and mountain biking.

Right now, there’s an opportunity to designate this region as a National Heritage Area, which protects outdoor recreation and would benefit the local economy. But to make it happen, Congress needs to hear from people like you who love this area.
