Trail Overview
South SeaTac (SST) is actually Des Moines Creek Park in the city of SeaTac.
Ride this maze of trails just South of the Seatac airport. Lots of fun riding through an area that long ago used to be a neighborhood. Plenty of windy trail to spin around on. It's fairly flat and beginner-friendly.
SST no longer has the popular flowlines (downhill runs with jumps etc.) that it was known for. Nearly the entire flow park has been lost to the construction of a new jail on part of the land.
If you want that weekly leg and lung burning workout SST is the home of the Wednesday Night World Championships. The WNWC is a weekly race series that runs from April to Sept. Registration starts ~ 5:00 pm. Beginners and Juniors race at 6:00, Sports and Experts race at 7:00.
How to find it
Take the 200th St exit off I-5. Go West down the hill. At the bottom of the hill is a golf course on your right, the park entrance is across from that on your left.
Typical Conditions
Trails are a bit sandy and drain well.
Current Conditions
Variable - decent if it hasn't rained in a day. Justin 15:05, 22 March 2007 (PDT)
Turn-By-Turn Guide
Fun, not too technical trails that wind through the old neighborhoods. Lots of shorter trails that you can link together to create a pretty fun loop. You can link up a 5-6 mile loop without doubling back over any trails. It's hard to get lost out here, just head east until you hit the paved bike path.

Misc. Information
The main Des Moines Creek Park lot has a lot of break-ins.
Alternate parking at the Des Moines Library on the corner of 216th and 11th. Please park at the back of the lot to leave room for the library patrons. To get to the trails head back east on 216th and then head north on 14th to the back of the neighborhood. Go up the wooden stairs and follow the trail to the paved bike path. Head up paved bike path until you see the trails on your left. Enjoy!
Advocacy Information
The trails have been informally approved by the land manager. There are long term plans to turn the whole place into a golf course.
