Give a Little Love to the Trails You Love to Ride...
Volunteer on a Trail Work Party!

Last year, Evergreen donated 10,000+ volunteer hours to build and maintain a little more than 100 miles of trails statewide. If we all help on just ONE day a year we can easily donate 50,000+ hours to build and maintain trails in WA annually!!

New work parties are added to the calendar every week. Find one near you on the calendar

All ages, experience and fitness levels are welcome. Bring the family or the dog and do your ONE for the trails you love.

What can you expect on a trail work party?

To spend a few hours getting dirty in the woods with some fun folks. :-)

Every trail work party is different. Sometimes it's just trimming back the brush to make sure trails don't get overgrown. Sometimes it's moving rocks and dirt to create better drainage or build new trail. Other times it's cutting out downed trees. Or a combination of all this and more.

Rolling work parties are a combination of riding and trail work. Everyone carries a tool or two in their pack, and stops to do trail maintenance when and where it's needed most.

These are typically backcountry work parties and may include camping, shuttles, bbq's and more. Best of all you get to ride a cool trail and give a little back at the same time.

Regardless of the type of work party, you can always find an experienced Trail Crew Lead to show you the ropes and let you know what needs to be done that day.

What should I wear or bring to a work party?

  • Long Pants
  • Long Sleeves
  • Sturdy Boots or Shoes
  • Work Gloves (Gardening gloves w/ a good grip work well)
  • Water
  • Lunch/Snacks

  • Protective eyewear with clear lenses,
  • Rain jacket
  • Gaiters

For Rolling Work Parties & Camp/Ride/Trail Work Events also bring:

  • Bike
  • Helmet
  • Your usual bike gear
  • Tool kit

Plus your kids, your dog, and a great attitude!

No need to bring your own tools, unless you have a favorite. Please feel free to contact your crew leader with any questions.

Can my group, organization or employees come out?

Absolutely! We'd love to have you, and are happy to schedule a special work party for your group if there isn't one on the calendar that works for you.
