Paradise Valley Work Party - Easter Edition! Sunday, April 20th - 9:00 AM

We are building a new trail between WP21 and WP23 - see the map below.



We will meet at the NE 205th St. entrance. NOTE: This is NOT the main parking lot at Paradise:

When parking, please don't block driveways or mailboxes - we like to be good neighbors!

Look for my Red F250 at the trailhead. We will leave from the trailhead at 9:00 sharp, if you are late walk into the park go straight through the first intersection at the second intersection turn left onto Two Trees trail and when you see the intersection with the Ephemeral trail keep walking on Two-Trees (the old trail to your right, not the re-route)and you'll hear us working off to you right.

No trail work experience is needed - we love having new people come out and we will be happy to show you the basics of trail maintenance.

What to bring:
1. Shovel, McLeod, Grub Hoe. I'll have a few extra tools, if you don't have anything just show up and we will figure something out.
2. Gloves and sturdy shoes.
3. Something to drink and a snack to eat.

We usually work for 4-5 hours, but you should feel free to work for as short or as long as you can. Any help is appreciated! Questions? Drop me an email!

Swan Creek Work Party - Tacoma Sunday, April 20th - 12:00 PM
Crew leader: Silas Location: Swan Creek Park

We'll meet at the gated entrance on the North side of the park. From Portland Ave turn onto 44th, continue through the Salishan community then turn right onto T St. The gate is at the top of the hill. Lister Elementary should be on your left. Call or text Silas when you get to the gate and he will give you the combo. I will be in the clearing at 10am. Feel free to show up and leave any time you like. If you arrive after the 10am start time, just call or text Silas at the # below when you get to the gate and he'll guide you to the work party.

Duthie Afternoon/Evening Work Party Sunday, April 20th - 2:00 PM

Help us get Duthie tuned up, bomb-proofed and monsoon-proofed! We'll start on StepItUp and go until dark. But feel free to show up and leave any time. Any amount of time you can spare will be a great help. We'll meet at 2pm in the clearing by the tool boxes (that's across the road from the entrance to Movin On and the porta potty) and then head over to StepItUp. If you arrive later, call or text Tyler at the # below and he'll guide you to the work site.

Grand Ridge Let's Finish This #3 Monday, April 21st - 2:00 PM

Let's finish the short reroute and harden it with rock base and mineral cap just above the boardwalk heading back towards Issy from Duthie. If you happen to be riding and choose to lend a hand for even 10-15 minutes it will help as its two of us taking this on.

Pump Track Work Party, Squilchuck State Park Tuesday, April 22nd - 9:00 AM

Duthie Earth Day Work Party 4pm to dark Tuesday, April 22nd - 4:00 PM

Celebrate Earth Day with us at Duthie... join us for an evening work party and help us get the trails tuned up and bomb-proofed for summer. We'll be working from 4pm to dark, but you can show up and leave any time. Meet at 4pm in the clearing by the tool boxes -- that's across the road from the entrance to Movin On and the porta potty. Pipeline Trail Re-route in St. Edward State Park Sunday, April 27th - 10:00 AM

This is the first major trail project in St. Edward State Park in quite a few years. The problem: a 500-foot-long fall line trail is developing a major washout at the bottom. Because this has become chronic issue, Mark Garnick has master-minded a two-phase project to resolve it once and for all, and we have the enthusiastic support of Ranger Mo. First phase will be a major contour-following re-route that will result in a much more sustainable grade for both foot and bike traffic, and completely remove trail traffic from the washout area. This phase will take at least 3 work parties to clear and bench the alignment, grade and armor switchbacks, manage drainage, etc. (More about the second phase later. :-) ) If you have trail-building skills, this will be a great chance to use them; if you don't, this will be a great chance to learn them!

Come join us for the last weekend of biking until Sept. on the epic trails of Mount Constitution. This is a family friendly weekend, and no experience is necessary. We have reserved the Group Camp at Mountain Lake in Moran State Park for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, May 9-11. Loose plan is to ride and scope trails Friday, with a work party on Saturday to cherry out the sweet trails in the park. There should be enough daylight for a Sat evening ride if folks are interested. Sunday will be a chance to enjoy the fruits of our labor with group rides to fit all abilities. Tools for trailwork will be provided. Bring your favorite camping gear and food, bike stuff, work gloves, sturdy footwear, and glasses if possible. We will be car camping at Mountain Lake, no hike-in required. Carpooling encouraged. More info to come. Graham@evergreenmtb.org with questions / suggestions.

Coldwater Mega Build [Friends of Coldwater Event] Saturday, June 7th - 9:00 AM

Once again, the folks down South are having a huge work party on MTB trails surrounding the South Coldwater Lake at Mt St Helens and up towards Mt Margaret. Trails that will be worked on include the 211, 230, and 211A on the North side of Mt St Helens.
