Silent Swamp trail construction is back in full swing. Come be a part of history! We'll run this work party from 10am to 4:30pm. If you want to leave early, bring your bike -- we'll shuttle you up and you can ride out whenever you need to leave!
This work party will be led by Evergreen staff.
We will be meeting at a DIFFERENT gate for this Silent Swamp work party. I'll be at the gate in my red Toyota T100! The turn-out is 6/10's of a mile after the beginning of the passing lane as you are heading from I90 toward the Summit. It comes up quick. We'll meet at the gate and carpool up to the work site. We have to be on time and lock the gate behind us, so please show up early and be ready to go by the start time.

We will be out on the Preston trail at Tiger mtn this tues and thurs working on drainage issues and generally making the trail better. Come help on this local favorite to help the Tiger Mtn trail network even better. Our worksite is within the first 1.5 miles of Preston, below where the Summit trail joins. Riding Tiger anyway?...stop and help with a cool project on your way through. Ride out whenever you want. No experience necessary. First interested signup gets a shuttle ride to the top in the morning.(Click for more info)

Help open new trail at Coldwater Lake! This effort is supported and in collaboration with the USFS, and comes after a very successful workparty last August on the Coldwater trail 211. This June we will connect the 211 to the 230A, opening a challenging and scenic loop with great views of Mt St Helens. Come be a part of history!

Construction on another new trail at Tiger has begun! Join us on "Off-The-Grid" for a work party series sponsored by Modus Sport Group...
Off-The-Grid will peel off of the E Tiger summit trail and connect into Silent Swamp. So we'll have an alternative to Preston for getting down the mountain.
Weekend work parties will will run from 9am to 3pm. Weekday work parties will run from 5pm to dark (~9pm). If you want to leave early, bring your bike -- we'll shuttle you up and you can ride out whenever you need to leave!
Modus Sport Group will be raffling off some sweet gear, including: Shimano ZEE drivetrain components and brakes, Pearl Izumi footwear, POC helmets and knee pads, T-shirts, hats, and more!
Earn one raffle ticket for each completed evening work party (3 hours minimum), two tickets for each weekend work party (5 hours minimum). Final drawing held at end of June 15th work party during bbq (do not need to be present to win).

We will haul crushed rock stockpiled in the park down to the bottom of the ravine to fix a washout. NOTE: location is just NW of the intersection of Juanita Drive and Holmes Pt Drive, so park in the QFC lot or the spaces on Holmes Pt Drive next to the light. Need wheelbarrows, shovels and energy. I will bring planks to get the wheelbarrows over trail obstacles plus additional tools. |
