This will be an out and back ride with an initial climb up and over then up to the view point. Noted as social pace, but probably not a good ride for a beginner, although no one will be dropped. We'll keep it fun and don't mind a bit of waiting. After the ride, anyone who is interested can head to Lake Cushman for swimming and BBQ (Lowell's property). There is room to spend the night if you want to join that as well (bring small tent and sleeping bag).
Directions: Past Shelton take the Skokomish Valley Road. At 5 miles or so take the right fork (this is road 23). The road turns to gravel for a few miles but then surprisingly turns back to a paved road. It stays paved all the way until the last mile. Go to the LeBar Horse Camp and park here. (Figure on 30-45 minutes from Rt 101). Call for more detailed directions and bring your trail pass. |
