If you have ever ridden at Paradise Valley in the winter, you have probably come across "Lake Paradise", that section of the mainline trail between Lloyd Trail and Red Alder that fills up hub deep with water after a big rain. The rest of the winter it's just a big mud bog that you often end up pushing your bike around.
Snohomish County is going to drop us ~17 yards of gravel at a nearby neighborhood park entrance and we are going to move that gravel into the park to build a 6' wide "turnpike" on the mainline so that we can float over Lake Paradise mud-free all year long.
I expect to have 30-40 youth volunteers out from a local church group, but I could use additional help. The more people we have, the faster this is going to go.
What to bring:
1. Yourself
2. Gloves
3. Wheelbarrow (we need as many as we can get)
4. Shovel and steel, or bow, rake (not a leaf rake!)
5. Plate tamper and/or McLeod (if you have one)
6. Water, snack, etc.
I'll be parking here (note: This is NOT the main parking lot at Paradise). Because this is a neighborhood entrance, and I expect a lot of cars, please be considerate of the neighbors and do not block driveways or mailboxes!

No trailwork experience needed! Stay for as long or short as you can, all help is very much appreciated!
Look for my Red Ford F-250 at the trailhead. I will be wearing a blue Evergreen T-Shirt. If you get there late, just walk into the park past the gravel pile, through the gate and turn left at the first intersection. Or just follow the stream of wheelbarrows. Keep walking up the mainline trail and you will eventually find me.
