Tiger Mountain

Tiger Mountain is Open from April 15 to October 15

We ask riders to voluntarily ride elsewhere when it is raining so that we can keep these heavily used trails in great shape. We give a special thanks to the good folks at DNR for being excellent partners in our stewardship of the Tiger Mountain bicycle trails!

About the Trails

The mountain bike trails on Tiger Mountain, which include the NW Timber Trail, Iverson RR Trail, and the Preston RR Trail, are the most heavily used mountain bike trails in our area. They are also some of the sweetest singletrack within an hour of Seattle.

As the crown jewel of mountain biking in our area, it is our goal to upgrade the trails so that they can be kept open year round. Our goal is to have this finished by next year. We're putting a lot of work into the trails to make it happen.

We hold many trail work parties throughout the year, especially in the winter months. We encourage you to come and join us, we'll hook you up with the tools you need, and we have experienced crew leaders that will show you how to build great trails. Check the calendar for upcoming work parties. Working closely with the land manager, DNR, we are armoring the sub-surface key areas of the trails with rock so that the trails drain better during rains, and they are highly resistant to wear. Tiger Mountain receives an incredible amount of bike, horse, and hiker use. Building the trails the way we do will ensure that the trails hold up with only minimum maintenance on our part. All of our crew leaders are committed to trailwork that preserves the character of trail without making them easier to ride.

Here are some pictures of a big workparty BBTC held with Volunteers from REI. We had 55 people out working on the Northwest Timber Trail, and we were able to do a lot of great work. There were 5 crews working on different projects; including replanting vegetation, clearing drainages, and repairing several damaged sections of the trail.
