Central Washington Chapter Summer Ride Series

Our new(ish) partners on the east side are holding another group ride on Saturday, August 28th. This months ride will be Devils Gulch with a pedal-up option or an alternate shuttle option.

These folks know how to have fun and do a great ride. Last time there was a great turn-out including 4 kids tearin' it up on trail-a-bikes and hollering "Faster daddy, faster!"

Special bonus, they've arranged 10% off food at Barney's Tavern for after the ride. They do it a little different on the Summer Ride Series though, you DO need to be a member of Evergreen to participate in this ride. You can join online before or you'll have the ability to become a member that morning.

Sign up here for the pedal up option or here for the shuttle option.

Parking Problems at Duthie - Please Help!
If you've been to Duthie you know that the small lot is usually full and that cars are parked everywhere. King County is busy marking most of the access roads with No Parking signs but the problem now is the neighborhoods, like Trosachs. The neighbors have been important supporters of Duthie Hill Park but they, understandably, don't want additional traffic and parking problems right in front of their houses!

PLEASE use the Endeavor and Cascade Ridge schools as overflow parking whenever the small lot is full. It will only take a couple of minutes more and think of it as a nice warm-up for your ride!

King County is working to resolve the problem by pursuing funding for a 75 car parking lot at the south end of the park from SE Issaquah - Fall City Road. In the meantime please help to reduce the conflict.
