About the Park
Evergreen and our volunteers built a new mountain bike skills park located under the I-5 freeway between Seattle's Eastlake and Capital Hill neighborhoods.
The I-5 Colonnade Mountain Bike Park is the first of a new urban model for mountain bike facilities. The park, a total of 2 acres in size, contains over a mile of trail and will be full of a wide range of Technical Trail Features (TTF). This new model focuses not on mileage, but rider experience and progression of one's skills. Each section of the park is being designed so that a mountain biker can ride those features hundreds of times in hundreds of different ways.
The park will include features ranging from novice xc trails all the way up to very advanced features for xc, freeride, trials and BMX riders.
- Novice cross country trails
- Advanced cross country trails with challenging climbs and descents
- A trails area
- BMX lines
- A pump track
- Flow lines
- Rock chutes
- Progressive drops
- Skinnies and logrides
Currently under construction:
Phase 2 Trails & Practice Areas. Phase 2 will include advanced flowy & technical lines, drops, jumps, berms, a pump track and trials area.
This park is being built by volunteers, so sign up for a work
party and come help us build the park. For more volunteer info, contact Jon Kennedy at 206-524-2900.
